Welcome to Brazos Valley Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery requires additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. J. Bryan Garrett, DDS, MD, Garrett D. Blundell, DDS, MD, Chad C. Hanley, DDS, and Brandon C. Clyburn, DDS practice a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.     J. Bryan Garrett, DDS, MD pursued his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University. He received his dental degree from the University of Texas-Houston Dental Branch. Dr. Garrett continued his education and received his medical degree from the University of Texas-Houston Medical Branch. During his residency, he was chief surgical resident at Ben Taub Hospital, Herman Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affair Hospital and LBJ Hospital. He received his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery board certification in 2014. Dr. Garrett was born and raised in College Station. He joined our team of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2012. He is also on staff as a Texas A&M Physician. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three kids. He spends his time playing golf, running, hunting, fishing and coaching his boys at College Station Little League.     Garrett Blundell, DDS, MD, pursued his undergraduate studies at Baylor University. He received his dental degree from the University of Texas- San Antonio Dental Branch. He went on to obtain his medical degree at the University of Texas-Houston Medical Branch. During his residency, he was chief resident at the University of Texas-Houston Branch, Ben Taub Hospital, Herman Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affair Hospital and LBJ Hospital. Dr. Blundell joined our team of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in 2013. He is an entrepreneur and even created our patient registration system Sympliact! He enjoys trying different coffee recipes and bakes cheesecake in his free time!     Brandon C. Clyburn, DDS pursued his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. He received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. After joining the United States Air Force on a Health Professional Scholarship Program, Dr. Clyburn completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. Dr. Clyburn completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in 2015. After graduating, he joined the Oral & Maxillofacial surgery staff at David Grant Medical Center Oral Maxillofacial surgery as an attending. He became a Diplomat, American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2017. He then practiced full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and trained AEGD-1 residents parental sedation/exodontia at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana. After joining the United States Air Force on a Health Professional Scholarship Program, Dr. Clyburn completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas (2009-2010). Dr. Clyburn and his wife moved back to College Station and he joined our team in 2019. His wife, Aron Kay Clyburn, DDS also graduated dental school with Dr. Clyburn, and works as a pediatric dentist. Dr. Clyburn enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children, and has a passion for the outdoors, academia and supporting Texas A&M athletics.

  • Dr. William L. Wiley

    DDS

    William L. Wiley, DDS, began practicing in the Brazos Valley in summer of 1977. Dr. Wiley attended the University of Texas and North Texas State University for his undergraduate studies and the University of Texas-Houston Dental Branch to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1974. He practiced general dentistry in San Antonio in 1974-1975 and continued to practice part time during his residency in 1975-1977. Dr. Wiley completed his residency in periodontics at the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1977. He practiced periodontics in Bryan from 1977-2008. In 2008, Dr. Wiley joined Brazos Valley Dental Implant Center merging his practice into the group practice. This merger allowed us the opportunity to practice in concert with oral and maxillofacial surgeons in a practice setting unique in the United States. Dr. Wiley has many talents and enjoys learning new things. He trained and received his pilot’s license and can fly on his own! He also enjoys golfing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids!
